Subgroup: This come from mathematical concept. First, let me explain what a group is. This is a collection of objects with a well formed operation with a couple of rules. I haven't thought about this in a while, so forgive the vagueness... The rules form axioms on which proofs are built. One sub structure that is created is called a subgroup. This sub collection has the same well formed operations, but the operation works only on the objects within the sub collection. In some sense our lives is a subgroup of the rest of the world (give or take a loose definition or two) and thus the title is formed.
