About Me
I am a Mosotho, born, raised and educated mostly in Lesotho. I was born in the Butha-Buthe district of Lesotho, and went to Leribe Engligh Medium School from 1992 to 2003. I them moved to the National University of Lesotho, where I graduated with a B.Eng degree in Computer Systems and Networks in 200. Following this I worked as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant at the same University till I joined UCT's department of Computer Science in 2011.
I am a Mandela Rhodes scholar, a Christian, an ICT For Development Researcher... I am passionate about development, women and youth empowerment and I love working with people. Perhaps this makes my choice of ICT4D research fit. Lately I have been interested in Visualisation and Data Representation, as well as certain aspects of Design so there will be increasing inclination towards HCI in my future work...
At UCT I am curretly involved with the United Nations Asociation of South Africa (UCT Chapter), where I serve in the executive committee in the Marketing portfolio, it's pretty exciting!
